My photographic/cinematic background is in documentary film production. I am now specialising in still photography, covering subject areas of nature and landscapes – wilderness, mountains, forests, ocean, desert, rural– wildlife, heritage and sport. Currently, I am concentrating on impressionist interpretations of both nature and sport.

Documentary Film Production

 

As an independent film-maker I produced TV documentaries on wildlife, travel and indigenous cultures. I worked in the areas of cinematography, writing, producing and directing. I have co-produced with broadcasters such as National Geographic, Discovery Channel; BBC; ABC; SBS; Australian commercial channels, ZDF and ORF Germany; NHK Japan.

 

The documentaries and series, filmed throughout Australia and internationally, include titles, such as Wild Dog Dingo, Flight of the Rhino, Brumby Horse Run Wild, King Koala, Animal Olympians, Search for the Black Tree Kangaroo, The Art of Tracking, Animal Weapons, Wild Desert Pet, Ten Million Wildcats, Atlanta’s Child, Kula Ring of Power, Pelicans of the Ghost Lake and Australia’s Improbable Animals. I have produced over 25 hours of television documentaries, many of them award-winning.
